Landon Emenalo makes a squad of the Chelsea day against Liverpool

Landon Emenalo, 17, son of the former technical director of Chelsea and star of the Super Eagles World Cup, Michael Emenalo, made the team of the day in the 2-1 victory of Chelsea over Liverpool in the English Premier League on Saturday.

The adolescent midfielder was a substitute not used in the high intensity clash at Stamford Bridge, but his inclusion in the Team of the Enzo Maresca day marks a significant step in his incipient race with the blues.

The objectives of Moisés Caicedo and Estevão Willian sealed the victory for Chelsea, while Cody Gakpo obtained a comfort for Liverpool.

Landon’s father, Michael Emenalo, represented Nigeria in the US FIFA World Cup.

With Landon now entering the senior configuration of Chelsea, questions are already asked if he could choose to represent Nigeria, following his father’s international steps.

For now, the approach focuses on its development under Enzo Maresca, but Nigerian fans will observe closely while another name of Emilo begins to appear in the headlines in world football.
