In a bid to correct what they believe was an oversight in the recent appointment of a transition committee chairman of the Ile-Oluji West LCDA, indigenes of the area have sent a petition to Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa of Ondo State.
The petitioner, signed by Tanimowo Olowosunmoye, James Adetipe, Adejayan Kehinde, Adebayo Folorunso and Sunday Ugwoke on behalf of the people of Ile-Oluji West LCDA, expressed disappointment that Apostle Akinyugha Festus Olu was appointed as the chairman despite not belonging to the LCDA.
In support of their claim, the applicants attached the identification data of Apostle Akinyugha.
The indigenes of Ile-Oluji West LCDA have asked the governor to reconsider the appointment and choose a qualified person from their community to lead the transition committee.
They said they believed this move would not only correct the perceived injustice but would also promote inclusiveness and motivation among LCDA citizens.
The signatories expressed their appreciation to Governor Aiyedatiwa for his leadership and dedication to the state.
They said they were confident he would respond promptly to their concerns.
