Learning that is motivated by personal interests, not national vision – YPP

The Chairperson of the National Progressive Party (YPP), Bishop of Amakiri, said on Wednesday the defense by politicians in all platforms in Nigeria was driven by personal ambitions rather than national interests.
Amakiri stated this in the television breakfast program, Brief Pagi.

He reacts to the new defender from the Governor of the State of Delta, Sheriff Oborevwori, his predecessor, IFeeni Okowa, and other political leaders in the state of the Democratic Party (PDP) of the People (PDP) to the Congress of All Progressive (APC).

The Chairperson of YPP described the defector as “political interests” rather than rearrangement that focuses on the original person.

He said: “Political restrictions are a natural part of the Nigerian democratic space. The motive behind this often reveals more deep problems about the state of government and leadership priorities in this country.
“The truth of this problem is that around the political room, you cannot bring people who move from one party to the other,” he said. “But in this context, I will say there are two things: the defense of political interest and projection of people’s interest.

“Those who encourage the agenda of political interests always think of the next election and not the next generation.

“They prioritize politics rather than government. Once they feel they cannot advance their political agenda in a party, they move to another place.”
