Activist Aisha Yesufu has criticized the Director General of the World Trade Organization, Ngozi Okonjo-iweala, for his statement praising the President of the Tinubu ball for stabilizing the Nigerian economy.
This came after a similar comment by a former Labor Party President candidate, Peter Obi who also blamed the comments by Okonjo-iweala.
In a post on X on Sunday, Yesufu questioned why the Nigerians had to give Tinubu credit for stabilizing what he described as the economy he had unstable.
He argued that the economy had not returned to that level before Tinubu served, adding that the claim of stability only made sense if the President inherited a worse situation.

Yesufu said the Nigerians were asked to praise Tinubu for “stabilizing their own chaos,” insisted that the country’s economic state remained far from recovery.
He said: “First of all, he began by telling Nigerians that they had to give Tinubu praise for stabilizing an unstable economy and had not even been taken to the bad state before he entered.
“Give praise to someone who throws the economy into a bad condition that has never happened before because he now stabilizes his chaos? What stability is compared to?
“If Mr Tinubu has met with the economy worse and now there is stability, then his statement will make sense. The economy still has not returned to the place when he grabbed the power from Buhari. What is that? So what credit should be given by Nigerians?”
