Like Osimhen, another Super Eagles player sets a record on his debut

It was a relatively good weekend for the Super Eagles players who played for their club over the weekend as the club’s action returned after the international break.

Notably, Victor Osimhen made his debut for Galatasaray and shone like a star, providing an assist as Galatasaray beat Rizespor 5-0 on Friday.

In addition to the assist and winning debut, he enriched his superlative performance by taking seven shots, a record for a player debuting in the Turkish Super League.

To a large extent, this makes up for the lack of a goal on his debut, as it gives his many Galatasaray fans what to expect from him in the season.

The performance is a refreshing climax to the torrid pre-season and transfer worries he had with Napoli, as Victor Osimhen stepped up when needed and did not allow the trauma of the summer to affect his performances.

Like Victor Osimhen, Frank Onyeka also made his Bundesliga debut with Augsburg.

He also made his debut with a win, providing an assist in Augsburg’s 3-1 win over FC St. Pauli at the WWK ARENA on Sunday afternoon.

The Super Eagles midfielder, who completed a last-minute move from England to Germany, assisted Augsburg’s second goal in the 67th minute.

Frank delivered a superb cross into the box which Phillip Tietz headed in to double Augsburg’s lead.
Wolf’s first goal in the 47th minute.

The combative midfielder showed what German fans should expect and put the icing on the cake of his performance by entering the record books on his Bundesliga debut before leaving the field in the 83rd minute to
Arne Maier in the 83rd minute.

According to the Bundesliga’s official website, Onyeka reached a speed of 32.57 km/h, one of the fastest for a player on his debut.

He was the third fastest player on the field, only surpassed by Dimitrios Christos Giannoulis (34.73 km/h) and Rubén Vargas (33.56 km/h) with higher speeds.
