West Bromwich Albion started their English Championship campaign in style, securing a 3-1 win against Queens Park Rangers on Saturday, thanks to a brilliant hat-trick from Josh Maja.

Maja, the standout player of the match, began his scoring streak in the 26th minute, equalising after Lucas Andersen had given QPR an early lead.

The striker continued his fine form in the second half, scoring two more goals in the 51st and 65th minutes, securing a comfortable victory for Carlos Corberán’s team.

Nigerian international defender Semi Ajayi also played the full 90 minutes, contributing to West Brom’s strong start to the season as they secured their first three points.
