The move is entirely dependent on the outcome of a medical as Ugarte is believed to be able to fly to Manchester for a medical on Tuesday evening.

The move comes at the same time as midfielder Scott McTominay’s proposed €30m (£25.37m) move to Napoli.

Manchester United got off to a poor start in the Premier League after losing 2-1 to Brighton last Sunday after opening with a 1-0 win over Fulham.
