The armed men suspected of being bandit attacked four communities in the area of ​​the local government of the north of the State of Ondo and killed many residents in the areas.

The affected communities are Abba Alajido, ABA Sunday, ABA Pastor and Ademekun in the Kureure North LGA of the State of Ondo.

It was collected that many people who live in the communities were killed during an attack in the early hours of Saturday 8 March 2025.

Speaking with the journalists of Akure, the capital of the State of Ondo, residing in one of the attached communities, who simply identified himself as Sunday, revealed that many people were killed by the bandits.

Sunday, who spoke to journalists on Monday, said many residents in the communities fled their homes to look for refuge in the bush.

On Sunday he explained that the attack started last week on Monday, but a new one was launched on Saturday morning.

He said: “They attacked our communities when everyone slept; They opened the fire of weapons on anyone in sight.

“Many came across the bush for safety while some unfortunate were killed in the villages.

“Sunday, the safety men came and recovered some corpses.

“Many people are missing and have not yet been explained. If they seek further, they will find even more dead bodies in the bush. “

The accident was confirmed by the public relations officer of the State Police of Ondo, CSP Fun Milayo Odunlami, Monday.

Odunlami said that an investigation began, adding that police officers are in the communities affected to restore normality.

He said that the attack on the Pastore ABA community was reported to the police on Saturday.

“Immediately, the command came into action to ensure that the normality was restored and the authors arrested,” said the police spokesman.
