Microsoft announced plans to stop 6,000 staff

Thousands of workers from all levels, teams, and regions will be influenced by Microsoft’s announcement on Tuesday that they will dismiss 3% of their global staff.

The technological giant that focuses on AI does not reveal the right number of job loss, but according to the estimated US media, it will be around 6,000 people.

Microsoft said that making this change to control costs while investing widely in artificial intelligence, with plans to spend up to $ 80 billion in the 2025 fiscal year in relevant efforts, despite extraordinary financial performance, including the new quarterly net increase in $ 25.8 billion.

This step was carried out several weeks after the company stopped plans to expand cloud computing infrastructure in a step that appeared in the midst of concerns about rising costs, challenges of regulations, and infrastructure constraints such as lack of energy.

Per report by Bloomberg, Microsoft has stopped the talks from delaying the data development sites in the UK, Australia, North Dakota, Wisconsin, and Illinois.

Microsoft planned for years in advance, according to a spokesman who told the publication that modification showed “flexibility [its] strategy.”
