Muric urges inhaboun to revive abandoned projects of Amosun

The chapter of the state of Ogun of the concern for Muslim rights (Muric) appealed to the governor Dapo Inhabitun to urgently revisit and complete the abandoned projects started by his predecessor, senator Ibikunle Amosun, warning that the negligence of these projects is worsening insecurity and road accidents in the state.

The group, in a declaration signed jointly by its president, Alhaji Tajudeen Jimoh, and the secretary, Alhaji Olaleye Rasheed, have said that the projects undertaken with the money of taxpayers are the democratic rights of the people and not the privileges that can be discarded at will.

Muric has identified several roads within Abeokuta who have become “traps for death” because of the abandonment, including Oke Ibukun, Aladesanmi Road, Adan -Moore Junction, Elega Junction and Mokola Road.

According to the group, many lives have been lost while others have undergone permanent accidents on those roads.

“We recognize the complexity of governance and the numerous development commitments to development, but we are deeply concerned that insecurity and accidents are increasing following these neglected projects”, reads the declaration.

Muric stressed that his appeal was not for the benefit of Muslims alone, but for the well -being of all residents of the state of Ogun.

He warned by the governance guided by political revenge or by the Council of Sicofanti, exhorting the governor inhabitants to personally evaluate the state of abandoned projects rather than relying exclusively on party assistants and loyalists.

“Governance concerns humanity and continuity, not bitterness or political revenge. We strongly recommend to his excellence not to rely exclusively on consultants, the singers of praise and the lealist of the party whose interests could be autonomous. Moving personally will give people to renew the renewed hope and trust in his administration”, added Muric.

Citing Section 14 (2) (b) of the 1999 Constitution (as amended), which provides that “the security and well -being of the people must be the main purpose of the government”, the group reminded the inhabitants of the Administration of its constitutional duty to protect life and promote the well -being of citizens.

While exhorting the governor to act quickly, Muric also invited Ogun residents to continue to support and pray for the state government rather than curse leaders.

β€œA responsible citizen should not curse or abuse government officials, since they are the drivers of our collective destiny.

“Just as nobody would have cursed a pilot who flies them on an eight -hour trip, so we should also offer prayers and support to our leaders,” concluded the declaration.
