The only guest who is still alive from lunch where the other three died after served food with poisonous mushrooms had told the Australian court that the act of killer Erin Patterson had made him feel “half -life”.

“This is one of the sad deficiencies of our society that so much attention is bombarded with those who commit crimes and very few to those who do good.”
‘I’m not bearing his bad intentions’
He described Gail and Don Patterson, the parents of Erin Patterson’s husband who was alienated by Simon Patterson, as the closest person to him after his wife and family.
“My life is very poor without them,” Wilkinson said.
“I am depressed because Erin has acted with heartless neglect and calculated for my life and the lives of the people I love. What’s foolishness that has someone to think that killings can be a solution to their problems, especially the murder of people who only have good intentions towards him?”

He called Patterson, who said the poisoning was unintentional and continued to maintain his innocence, to confess his crime.
“I encourage Erin to accept my forgiveness offer for the dangers made to me with full recognition and repentance. I have no bad intentions,” he said.
“I’m no longer a victim of Erin Patterson and he has become a victim of my kindness.”

He has 28 days since his sentence to appeal, but has not indicated whether he will do it.
