My refinery will reduce the price of fuel in Nigeria – Dangote
Dangote Group Chairman Aliko Dangote has said its $20 billion, 650,000 barrel per day refinery based in Lagos will bring down the price of fuel as it has reduced the price of diesel in Nigeria. Dangote revealed this at a recent annual meeting of Afreximbank and AfriCaribbean Trade. & Investment Forum in Nassau, Bahamas. When asked whether or not his refinery would bring down the pump price of petrol, which is sold at an average of N700 per litre, Dangote did not give an affirmative answer, explaining how the price of diesel dropped from 1,700 to 1,200 N when its diesel invaded the Nigerian market.
