  1. Your body would have to get used to using the fat stored in your body as energy. All the carbs and junk she was eating were constantly raising her blood sugar, which caused her to constantly have an elevated insulin level and store fat. She was probably insulin-resistant, but the surgery forced her to stop eating so much that it reversed this. She was even luckily she didn't get diabetes, most ppl develop it due to the type of food they eat and not exercising.

Anita I commend your bravery & support your choice fully but when you have time please take time to think through and delve into what caused your lack of discipline so people don’t think oh she just lacks discipline. For most women the stress of being a mother , a wife and working raises the stress hormone cortisol especially when over 30 . Also the hormonal changes that cause women not to sleep, high bp. These are enough to kill your willingness to put up will power to be disciplined with food . Please you need to expatiate on the cause of difficulty for women to control food portion. They are real and cogent reasons . Thank you
