Nafdac revealed a fake drug factory in Delta

The National Agency for Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC) has found a fake drug factory in Azagba Ogwashi in the Aniocha Regional Government in the Delta state.

Director of Nafdac, Southeast, Dr. Martins Iluyomade, revealed this to the press briefing in Asaba on Tuesday.

He said the agency would consider the option to seize any building that was used to make illegal drugs and rely on expired drugs.

According to him, the factory is located in a three -story building that has not been completed in the community.

Iluyomade said: “I feel very sad for our country, and things that are played.

“Only God knows how many people have died due to the consumption of illegal drugs produced by these traders who are looking for money in any way.

“They committed this heinous crime using all Avenue’s behavior, including inciting public on what Nafdac did.

“They even use their money that does not get money after killing many people. Nigeria must be very vigilant.”

He said the main suspect, Ekene Igwe, now in general, is one of the main traders in Ogbo-Ost in the Bridge Medicine Market in Onitsha, the state of Anambra.

The director added that the suspect and his wife, Blessing Igwe, together in the drug business.

“After these drug traders knew that the Ogbo-Osta market was no longer safe for their drug business, they moved to neighboring places such as Asaba in unfinished buildings and began to be labeled back injections that were expired seven years ago.

“This illegal drug business problem has been going on for several years, and there has been no solution. This time, Nafdac advanced with a solution to ensure that Nigerians are safe, and we can protect public health,” Iluyomade said.
