Naira lost N2.86 to the dollar in the official window

The Nigerian currency, Naira, then depreciated the US dollar in an official window on Thursday.

Nigerian central bank data (CBN) shows that Naira is closed on N1, 533.11/$ 1 compared to N1, 530.25/$ 1 which is traded on Wednesday.

This is the loss of N2.86 for local currencies against American Greenback.

In the black market, Naira obtained the N10 against the dollar to trade at N1.530/$ 1, compared to the previous day level N1.540/$ 1.

Naira lost N15 to the British pound to trade at N2.135/£ 1 compared to the previous day level N2.150/£ 1.

Local currency closed flat against Canadian dollars to be traded at N1.200/Ca $ 1.

However, it obtains N5 to Euro to trade in ₦ 1,795/€ 1 compared to the previous day level ₦ 1,800/€ 1.
