Naira shed N2.74 against the dollar in the official window

Nigerian currency, Naira, declined against the US dollar on an official window on Friday.

Foreign exchange data of Bank Nigeria Bank central bank (CBN) shows that Naira is closed on N1, 528.56/$ 1 compared to N1,525.82/$ 1 which is traded on Thursday.

This is the loss of N2.74 for local currencies against American Greenback.

In the black market, Naira obtained an N5 against the dollar to trade at N1.560/$ 1, compared to the previous day level N1.565/$ 1.

Local currencies also obtained N5 against British pounds to trade at N2.160/£ 1 compared to the previous day level N2.165/£ 1.

It was closed flat against the Canadian dollar to be traded in N1.200/Ca $ 1.

Naira obtained N5 against Euro to trade in ₦ 1,800/€ 1 compared to the previous day level ₦ 1,805/€ 1.
