The Nigerian currency, Naira, dropped against the US dollar in the official window on the first trading day this week on Monday, September 22, 2025.
According to Nigerian Central Bank data (CBN), Naira was closed at N1.488.60/$ 1, compared to N1.487.89/$ 1 which was traded on Friday, September 19, 2025.
This represents the depreciation of N0.71 for local currencies against American Greenback.
Naira obtained an N5 against American Greenback to trade at N1.520/$ 1, compared to the previous day level N1.525/$ 1.
Naira obtained N20 against British pounds to trade at N2,090/£ 1 compared to the previous day level N2.110/£ 1.

Naira closes flatly against Canadian dollars to be traded in N1.230/Ca $ 1, equal to the previous day level N1.230/Ca $ 1.
Naira obtained the N10 against Euro to trade in ₦ 1,780/€ 1 compared to the previous day level ₦ 1,790/€ 1.
