The Nigerian currency, Naira, depreciated further on the US dollar in the official window on Tuesday, August 19, 2025.
According to Nigerian central bank data (CBN), Naira was closed on N1, 534.93/$ 1 compared to N1, 533.67/$ 1 which was traded on Monday, August 18, 2025.
This is the loss of N1.26 for local currencies against American Greenback.
In the black market, Naira obtained the N10 against the dollar to trade at N1.545/$ 1, compared to the previous day level N1.550/$ 1.
Naira closes flatly against the British pound to trade at N2.100/£ 1 is the same as the previous day level N2.110/£ 1.

Naira continues to close flatly against Canadian dollars to trade at N1.200/Ca $ 1, equal to the previous day level N1.200/Ca $ 1.
Naira obtained the N10 against Euro to trade in ₦ 1,790/€ 1 compared to the previous day level ₦ 1,800/€ 1.
