Naira spilled N1.39 against the dollar in the official window

The Nigerian currency, Naira, dropped against the US dollar in the official window on Monday, August 25, 2025.

According to Nigerian central bank data (CBN), Naira was closed on N1, 536.42/$ 1 compared to N1, 535.03/$ 1 which was traded on Wednesday, August 19, 2025.

This is the loss of N1.39 for local currencies against American Greenback.

In the black market, Naira obtained N5 against dollars to trade at N1.545/$ 1, compared to the previous day level N1.550/$ 1.

Naira lost the N20 to the British pound to trade at N2.125/£ 1 the same as the previous day level N2.105/£ 1.

Naira continues to close flatly against Canadian dollars to trade at N1.200/Ca $ 1, equal to the previous day level N1.200/Ca $ 1.

Naira lost N15 to Euro to trade in ₦ 1,810/€ 1 compared to the previous day level ₦ 1,795/€ 1.
