Naira spilled N2 on the dollar in the black market

Nigerian currency, Naira, declined against the US dollar in the parallel window on Thursday.

Naira lost N2 against American Greenback to be traded on N1.547/$ 1, compared to N1.545/$ 1 recorded in the parallel market, which was popularly called the Black Market, on Wednesday.

Local currency, however, obtained an N5 against British pounds to trade at N2.120/£ 1 compared to the previous day level N2.125/£ 1.

It continues to close flat to the Canadian dollar to be traded in N1.200/Ca $ 1.

Naira obtained N5 against Euro to trade in ₦ 1,795/€ 1 compared to the previous day level ₦ 1,800/€ 1.

The exchange rate of the official window was not available at 19:00 on Thursday.
