Napoli boss gives update on Osimhen’s future

Napoli sporting director Giovanni Manna has said that Victor Osimhen’s situation is blocked.

Osimhen is pushing to leave Partenopei this summer.

“It is an objective fact, what the coach said, the situation is blocked. Victor is an important player, with great value and qualities,” said Manna. Sky Sport Italia.

“His desire is clear. We have tried to maintain the integrity of the squad at this time. We are not the only club in this situation and we will see what happens in the next 10 days.”

He was asked if the club had feelings on whether the Nigerian was leaning towards Chelsea, PSG or Arsenal.

“At the moment it is not correct to say what the feelings are. We are working with his entourage to find the best solution. As we have said, he is an important player, so it is not as if we can find him anywhere,” he added.

Manna also said they would need to speak to Osimhen if no club is willing to pay the right fee at the end of the transfer window.

“He has a contract for two more seasons, so obviously if we don’t find a solution before August 30, we will have to talk to the player,” he said.
