With Nigeria preparing to organize the rest of the continent in July for the 14th Armwrestling Championship African in Abuja, the president of the Nigeria Armwrestling Federation (NAWF), Eng. Samuel Jackson has set his sights on an even bigger stage: the Armwreestling World Championship.
At a time accused of vision and ambition, Jackson revealed that, although preparations to organize the best Africa Armwreestlers are at full speed, the final dream is to take the world to Nigeria.

“We have organized Africa before, and we are ready to do so with excellence in 2025,” Jackson said. βBut after this, we are not stopping.
We want to organize the Armwrestling World Championship. That is the next border, and the vision is already moving. “
Nigeria, who is preparing to organize the African championship for the third time, will welcome more than 20 countries to the capital of the nation, Abuja, this July.
The event promises to be a show of strength, unity and African sports pride. However, for Jackson and his team, it is more than a competition: it is a declaration of capacity and intention.
“We believe that Nigeria has what is needed (facilities, people, passion and leadership) to organize the world,” Jackson emphasized. “And this African championship will be the pitcher.”
The president’s statement occurs immediately after several strategic associations secured by the Local Organizing Committee (LOC), directed by the Hon. Adeboye ADEYINKA, SSA to the President on Base Sports Development.
From government support to military support, LOC has been laying the foundations for delivering a championship that establishes a new standard.
The announcement also follows key meetings with institutions such as Nigeria Navy, where discussions on long -term support and assembly integration into the National Games further solidify the ascending trajectory of sport.
As the emotion accumulates before the July competition, another milestone is on the horizon: the pet present and the fundraising night, scheduled for June 14, which is expected to attract corporate sponsors, interested parties and dignitaries in support of the championship.
For Samuel Jackson, the African championship is more than an event: it is a promise that Nigeria can and will rise to world prominence in the world of Armwrestling.
“Africa is looking, but also the world. And we are ready,” Jackson concluded.
