The Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) has canceled the use of the “flight mode,” directing passengers to turn off all cellphones and electronic devices during takeoff and landing.
Director General of NCAA, Captain Chris Najomo announced a ban in Abuja on Tuesday, during the involvement of stakeholders while warning that non -compliance will no longer be tolerated.
The airline has also been ordered to change their manuals, while new security training and staff training will be launched to handle naughty passengers.

“Furthermore, regulations per telephone and other electronic devices in Nigeria have been put together.
“All cellphones must be turned off during the critical aspect of taking off and landing. All airlines must change their security programs to reflect this if it is different in their current program.
“There are no more aircraft fashion until the regulations are reviewed to reflect the developing technological situation. The business era as usual has ended,” Najomo said.
