NFF launches monthly football awards to celebrate excellence in Nigerian football

The Nigerian Football Federation (NFF) is proud to announce the launch of the NFF monthly awards, which recognize outstanding performances by Nigerian football players in various leagues including the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL).

Aim
Honoring the brilliance, dedication and passion of Nigerian football players and celebrating the best players who leave their mark on the field.

Award categories
1. Player of the month (male and female)

2. Goal of the month

3. Discovery of the month

nomination process
An independent organization will collect and analyze player statistics, ensuring a fair and accurate selection of nominees.

Voting process
– Fans and journalists can vote through the official NFF voting portal ((link not available))
– Voting period: October 3 – midnight October 7, 2024
– Fan votes represent 40%, while journalists and industry professionals determine 60%.

NFF Secretary General Dr. Mohammed Sanusi explains that “the NFF monthly awards will elevate Nigerian football, recognize outstanding talents and engage fans and media.

“This initiative fosters excellence on the field and fosters a deeper connection between players and fans.”
