NFF To Unveil Super Eagles Head Coach Finidi Monday

Super Eagles head coach, Finidi George will be unveiled by Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) in Abuja on Monday.

The unveiling will officially kick-start Finidi’s reign in charge of the Super Eagles.

The former Ajax winger was appointed Super Eagles head coach two weeks ago.

Finidi previously worked as an assistant to former handler of the team, Jose Peseiro.

The 53-year-old was Peseiro’s assistant for 20 months.

The former Real Betis star has already quit his role as head coach of Nigeria Premier Football League champions Enyimba.

Finidi led Enyimba to a historic 10th NPFL title last season.

The gaffer was in charge of the People’s Elephant for three years.

He will take charge of the Super Eagles for the first time in an official game against South Africa next month.

The Super Eagles will entertain Bafana Bafana in a 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifying fixture at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium, Uyo on Friday, June 7.

The three-time African champions will also clash with Benin few days later.
