NGX: Investors closed the week with profits of N52 billion

Investors in the Nigerian equity market ended the week with profits of N52 billion on Friday.

This follows the increase in the share prices of GUINNESS, ETRANZACT, and UNITY BANK on the stock exchange floor today.

After five hours of trading on the capital market, equity capitalization increased to N56.527 trillion from N56.474 trillion recorded by the exchange on Thursday.

Likewise, the All-Share Index (ASI) increased to 99,925.29 from 99,221.14 recorded on the previous trading day.

Market breadth was positive, 31 stocks rose, 17 declined, while 74 other stocks remained unchanged in 7,302 transactions.

GUINNESS, ETRANZACT and UNITY BANK led other gains with share price growth of 9.95%, 9.89% and 9.84% closing at N60.25, N5.00 and N1.34 from N54.80, N4.55 and N1 respectively. 22 per share.

On the other hand, ACADEMY, CWG, and PRESTIGE led another price decline as they fell 9.85%, 9.40%, and 5.56% respectively and closed at N1.83, N0.55, and N0.51 of initial N2.03, N5.85, and N0.54 per share.

On the volume index, STERLINGNG led trading with 42.259 million shares worth N1.75 billion in 94 transactions followed by ZENITH BANK which traded 28.033 million shares in 482 transactions worth N1.008 billion.

FIDELITY BANK traded 25.104 million shares worth N2.48 billion in 192 transactions.

On the value index ZENITH BANK recorded the highest daily trading value of shares worth N1.008 billion in 482 transactions followed by GTCO which traded equities worth N635 million in 313 transactions.

SEPLAT traded shares worth N438 million in 72 transactions.
