Equity markets again started the week on a negative note as investors recorded losses of N51.70nbn at the end of the trading session on Monday, 24 June 2024.
This follows the fall in share prices, including INTBREW, DEAPCAP, and DAARCOMM on the stock exchange floor today.
After five hours of trading on the capital market, equity capitalization fell to N56.371 trillion from N56.423 trillion posted by the stock exchange on Friday, June 21, 2024.
The All-Share Index (ASI) fell to 99,651.67 from 99,743.05 recorded on the previous trading day.
Market breadth was negative as 19 stocks advanced, 25 stocks weakened, while 80 stocks remained unchanged in 9,753 transactions.
NSLTECH, VFDGROUP, and JOHNHOLT led other gains with share price growth of 10%, 9.85% and 9.58% closing at N0.55, N44.60, and N2.86 from previous prices of N0.50, N40.60, and N2, respectively. 61 per share.

On the other hand, INTBREW, DEAPCAP, and DAARCOMM led another price decline as they fell 10%, 8.93%, and 8.77% respectively and closed at N3.96, N0.51, and N0.52 from an initial price of N4. 40, N0.56, and N0.57 per share.
On the volume index, FBNH led trading with 627.604 million shares worth N13.451 billion in 561 transactions followed by BETAGLAS which traded 35.698 million shares in 16 transactions worth N1.892 billion.
VERITASKAP traded 35.343 million shares worth N33 million in 293 transactions.
On the value index, FBNH recorded the highest value for daily trading of shares worth N13.451 billion in 561 transactions followed by BETAGLAS which traded equities worth N1.892 billion in 16 transactions.
STANBIC IBTC traded shares worth N712 million in 74 transactions.
