Niger South: Jiya dedicates tripartite victories to God, commits to more diligent service 

Senator Peter Ndalikali Jiya, representing Niger South Senatorial District on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has dedicated his tripartite victory to Almighty God, just as he commits to more diligent service to his constituents.

Senator Jiya was reacting to his victory at the Court of Appeal on Friday, in a statement tagged, “Note of Appreciation.”

He said, “Where do I start from? What do I say and how do I say it?

First, to God Almighty, I give thanks and praise for doing what only He’s capable of.

“Despite mountainous challenges, God watered and caused to fruition a little dream. 

“Thank you, God, for the human resources both visible and invisible, high and low used at each stage until now. I bow in awe of you and worship your Majesty, O God.”

The elated lawmaker also extolled the invaluable support and tremendous goodwill of his party, PDP.

“The PDP family, from the state chairman and Exco, all the chairs of the eight LGAs in Niger south, elders of the party in Niger state in the persons of Prof. Jerry A. Gana, Haske Nupe and a former Minister of Information, His Excellency Dr Muazu Babangida Aliyu, former Governor of Niger state.

“Others are: Sen. Zaynab Kure, our gubernatorial candidate, Hon. Isah Liman Kantigi, Alh Ndagi Abdullahi Aliyu Mni, Dr Jonathan Jiya Mni, His Excellency Dr Shem Nuhu Zagbayi, former Deputy Governor, Hon Alh Kwatu and Hon. Minister Achituwo, Amb Majanbu. 

“The rest are: His Excellency Alhaji Ahmed Ibeto, firmer Deputy Governor, the Party’s Campaign DGs at all levels etc, all PDP Party faithfuls, and also the APC family of Zone A, thank you for being part of this trek of faith in God through you ALL. 

“To our Royal Fathers, thank you for the watchful silence, support for fair play and acceptance,” he said.

Sen. Jiya further applauded the support of Rt. Hon. Mohammed Umar Bago, governor of the state, for his calm disposition despite belonging to a different political party.

He said,” I thank you Mr. Governor and covet your continued support and assure you of my collaboration for the good of our people. 

“And for my colleagues, Distinguished Senators Moh’d Sani Musa and His Excellency, the immediate past Governor, Abubakar Sani Bello, thank you for your understanding. God bless you always. 

“Lest I forget, my special appreciation goes to the Elites of KinNupe in diverse services. 

“We belong to and hold divergent political views but settled on the need for uplifting the state.

“Thus, beyond party and other identities, we are Nupes and Nigerlites before any other thing, I humbly plea for us to come together and work for the common good of our people.” 

Sen. Jiya also lauded Senator Muhammed Bima Enagi for keeping faith in the pursuit of his inalienable right.

He said,” It could be either of us, but the three layers affirmation process confirmed my humble self for now.

“You have passed this way before and I sincerely crave your support. The good Lord bless you, your family and endeavours.

“Before I conclude, kindly permit me to appreciate in a special way, bands of men and women Muslims and Christians alike, who took times to pray for this project. I am greatly indebted to all of you and thank you immensely.

“Finaly, with the Court of Appeal’s affirmation on 27/10/23, I covet the prayers of All and Sundry, wise-counsel and encouragement each step of the way.

“Thank you Citizens and Residents of Niger South Senatorial District of Niger State & the good Lord bless us all.”
