Nigeria approached another Afrobasket title when D’Irtan reached the last four

Nigerian women’s basketball team, D’W Ivress now two wins from the victory of another FIBA Afrobasket when they beat Cameroon in the quarter -finals at the D’AVoire Cote.

African champions six times advanced to the semifinals of the 2025 Women’s Afrobasket Women’s Tournament with a win of 83-47 over Caneroon.

Nigerian women keep their title defense campaigns alive and extend their invincible running in Africa to 27, originating from 2015.

With victory, they have moved closer to the record of the fifth title in a row. Only Senegal has achieved the achievements of four Nigeria today.

Following the dominant victory against Cameroon, D’W Ivress will now face Seengal in the semifinals on Saturday 2 August.

While D’Irdress continued to rewrite the history of women’s basketball in Africa, Cameroon, a former silver medalist, struggled for fifth place, which will be an increase in one place from their performance in 2023.
