Nigeria Christian Pilgrim Commission suspends pilgrimage to Israel, Middle East

The Nigeria Christian Pilgrim Commission (NCPC) has suspended pilgrimages to Israel and the Middle East due to escalating tensions in the region.

NCPC Executive Secretary Bishop Stephen Adegbite said during a press conference in Lagos on Tuesday that all pilgrimages by the commission and those of private pilgrimage operators have been suspended until security in Israel and across the Middle East returns to normal.

Bishop Adegbite also assured stakeholders that the over 500 pilgrims who made up the last batch of the 2025 pilgrimage had landed safely in Nigeria on Tuesday. (Channels)
