The defense headquarters claimed on Friday that the troops were mobilized in all theater operations killed a number of terrorists in the northern part of the country.
Director of Defense Media Operations, Major. Markus Kangye, revealed this in Abuja while giving a briefing to journalists about military operations between July 10 and July 22.
He said the troops saved more than 170 people who were kidnapped and thwarted the theft of oil worth N241.2 million during that period.
In northeast, Kangye said the Hadin Kai operational forces carried out several offensive operations in Goniri, Madaganari, Amuda, Chenene, Tokumber, and Lambang-Kalari in the states of Borno and Adamawa.
He added that 13 terrorists were arrested and three kidnapped people were rescued, while nine alleged collaborators were also arrested during the intelligence -led operation.

According to him, a large number of terrorists, along with their families, surrendered to the troops when the pressure was installed throughout the theater.
The spokesman said: “In northwest, Yamma’s fistanan operations conducted permission operations in Zamfara, Sokoto, Katsina, Kano, and Niger states.
“Operations caused the rescue of 106 victims who were kidnapped in the area of the Maru Regional Government in the state of Zamfara.
“32 additional victims, including 27 women and five children, were released to the team from the National Security Advisory Office (ONSA) as part of non-Cinetic involvement.
“Six terrorists were arrested during the operation with weapons cache and ammunition also recovered.
“Security bodies also arrested a famous terrorist identified as Muhammadu Hamisu (alias Mamiyo) and five others during the joint operation with the State Service Department (DSS) in Zamfara and Sokoto countries.
“Revealed goods include weapons, illegal medicines, motorbikes, and the number of N192,300.”
