It was the end of the road for Nigeria’s Temitope Adeshina in the women’s high jump competition in Paris.
The national record holder failed to reach the final after finishing 19th in the overall standings with a height of 1.88m.
Adeshina opened her competition at 1.83m, which she cleared with ease.

At the next height at 1.88m, he failed on his first attempt but succeeded on his second.
At 1.92 m tall, he failed all his attempts thereby ending his Olympic debut.
Adeshina is the second Nigerian to compete in the high jump at the Olympics after Doreen Amata who competed at the 2008 and 2016 Olympics.
