Nimet provides for a high possibility of flood in Borno, Yobe

The meteorological prospects of the Nigerian meteorological agency have provided for a high possibility of floods in the States of Borno and Yobe on Monday 25 August 2025.

He also foreseen thunderstorms with moderate rains planned in states such as Borno, Yobe, Jigawa, Gombe, Bauchi, Adamawa, Sokoto, Kebbi, Zamfara, Taraba and Kaduna on Monday 25/08/2025.

Tuesday 26/08/2025, Nimet also included thunderstorms with moderate rains anticipated on parts of Kano, Yobe, Borno, Adamawa, Jigawa, Kaduna, Gombe and Bauchi possible possible in the States of Borno and Yobe.

Thursday, Nimet said there will be thunderstorms with moderate rains scheduled on Yobe, Borno and Adamawa. Possibility of strong rains that lead to floods to Bauchi states, Zamfara, Kebbi, Sokoto, Borno and Yobe.

“Southern Region: Monday 25/08/2025: cloudy skies with the possibility of light rains on parts of cross river, Akwa Ibom and Abia States. Rainne of intermittent light anticipated in the afternoon/evening.
