In an official statement, the NNL acknowledged Prudential Sports’ efforts to promote players and its brand, but criticized the company for bypassing proper protocols. The league emphasized its exclusive ownership of all commercial rights to its matches, in accordance with its regulatory framework and international standards.

The NNL expressed concern that such actions could undermine existing partnerships and potentially lead to legal disputes with its business partners.

“This is considered a deliberate ambush of our current partners, who could take legal action if these activities continue,” the statement warned.

The league has ordered Prudential Sports Limited to suspend all awards and activities related to NNL games until a formal agreement is in place. The Board reaffirmed its commitment to protecting the interests of its members and ensuring strict compliance with league regulations.

This incident underscores the need to respect commercial agreements and follow proper procedures in professional sports sponsorships and promotions.
