Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPC Ltd.) has appointed Duo Mr. Andy Odeh and Mrs. Morenike Adewunmi for the main leadership position in the Communication Unit and Public Relations.
A statement by NNPC LTD management on Tuesday said that Odeh took the role of the Chief Corporate Communications Officer, while Adewunmi would function as the head of the relationship official.
Odeh brings more than three decades of extensive experience in communication and business administration in the oil and gas sector, advertising and broadcasting.
Before joining NNPC, Odeh had a famous 26 -year -old career in Nigeria Liquefied Natural Gas (NLNG), where he held various leadership roles in the relationship and community development; Management and information technology; Corporate communication, among others.
“He is recognized for his work about large public relations and advertising campaigns for top brands.
“In NLNG, he managed to manage the company’s rebranding and implement one of Nigeria’s best micro credit schemes for the host community,” the statement said.
He also played a role in institutionalizing prizes for energy reporting.
Odeh is an alumnus from the University of Jos, the University of Lagos, Insead Business School, and the Nigeria Institute for Policy and Strategic Studies (NIPSS), among others.

Adewunmi, on his party, is a legal professional with more than 25 years of experience in the industry and expertise in management and advocacy stakeholders, especially from his broad term in the Shell company in Nigeria (SCIN).
“He is highly respected because of his ability to navigate complex external landscapes, ensure compliance with regulations and protect company licenses to operate”.
“At Shell, he holds a key role, including the manager of regulatory affairs, where he manages all compulsory involvement and permission.
“As a government relations manager, he builds and maintains constructive relations with the presidency, ministries, departments and institutions.
“Adewunmi is known for his strong leadership skills, emotional intelligence, and the ability to build a strong stakeholder network.
“He is a subject matter expert on non-technical risk and has a legal background from the Nigerian law school and Olabisi University Onabanjo.
“The appointment of Odeh and Adewunmi reflects the commitment of NNPC Limited to improve communication and involvement with stakeholders,” the statement added.
