Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL) has increased the price of a Spirit Motor Premium (PMS) pump known as gasoline to N935 per liter in Ibadan, N925 per liter in Lagos, and N950 per liter in Abuja.
The increase in gasoline prices by NNPCL will come only a few hours after new management is announced for state oil companies.
The latest adjustment is an increase in the N65 from the previous price of the N860 per liter in Lagos and N870 per liter in Ibadan, while Abuja saw the N70 leap from the N880 per liter. The increase in the price of NNPC gasoline follows the Dangote refinery decision to suspend the sale of petroleum products in Naira, triggered changes in the Nigerian deregulation fuel market.
A NNPC station survey along Lagos-Ibadan Expressway, Tipper Garage, Akala Express, and Odo-A.SA Elewe in Ibadan confirmed price adjustments to N935 per liter.

Likewise, it was collected that outlets along the Kubwa Expressway and Wuse in Abuja are now issuing fuel on the N950 per liter. However, some stations have not implemented changes due to logistics delay.
It will be remembered that on April 2, 2025, the President of the Tinubu ball appointed Bayo Ojulari as the New Group Chief Executive Officer (GCEO) from NNPC LTD, replacing Mele Kyari. The National Oil Company Council also underwent restructuring as part of a broader change.
