Nnpp Expels Rep Abdulmumin Jibrin – Thage

The chapter of the Kano State of the new Popular Party of Nigeria has expelled Abdulmumin Jibrin Kofa, the legislator who represents the electoral college of Kiru/Bebeji in the room of representatives, for alleged anti-playful activities and failure to comply with his financial obligations.

The President of the State of Nnpp, Alhaji Hashim Sulaiman Dungurawa, announced the expulsion during a press briefing in Kano on Saturday.

According to him, the repeated attacks of Jibrin’s media against the party and his leadership, as well as his open declaration of loyalty outside the party, required action.

He fired the legislator as a “weak politician” whose electoral victory was possible only through the KwankiSiyya movement and the NNPP platform.

“If he were really strong politically, he would have won under the APC, but he failed.

“It was when he joined the nnpp through Kwankwasiyya who became a member of the Chamber of repetitions. Now he is deceiving himself, thinking he was strong,” said Dungurawa.

He explained that a reconciliation committee had been established to face Jibrin’s comments during a television interview with the channels, but said that his subsequent actions showed challenge.

Dungurawa also said that Jibrin failed to pay the shares of the legal part and promised to take legal actions to recover the funds.

He said: “We will drag him to court to recover what he owes to the party. It is a constitutional requirement for each member to pay the shares, but he has not been able to constantly do it”.

On the speculations that Jibrin can defect with the APC, Dungurawa claimed that such a move would not weaken the nnpp, insisting on the fact that Kwankwasiyya remained solidly behind his leader, Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso.
