The New Nigerian People’s Party (NNPP) in Katsina State has directed its members in the 34 local government areas of the state to register with the African Democratic Congress (ADC).
The NNPP secretary in the state, Tijjani Kafinsoli, announced the decision in a chat with journalists on Wednesday in Katsina.
NNPP national leader, Rabiu Kwankwaso, joined the ADC on Tuesday.
Kafinsoli said the NNPP chairman in the state, Armaya’u Abdulkadir, announced the decision, following a directive from the party’s national headquarters.
He added that all executive members, and other officials in the party will remain in their posts, except for those with political ambitions in 2027.
Kafinsoli said: “All party officials, from the sub-district level to the state level, should stand their ground and not join the ADC one by one, because the entire party will join the party collectively.
