‘Nobody can stop me from going to any state,’ answered Obi Edo Gov, Okpebholo

The former presidential candidate from the Labor Party (LP), in the 2023 general election, Peter Obi, has stated that no one can stop him to go to any state in Nigeria because he is a free citizen and not a criminal.

Former Governor of the State Anambra, who stated this when he visited his alma mrist, Christ The King College in Onitsha, Anambra state, on Thursday, insisted that he was not afraid to visit any state in the country despite a warning by several governors who sat.

While reacting to the recent warning by the Governor of the State Edo, Monday Okpebholo, that Obi had to find permission before visiting the state, the former presidential candidate said that during the visit it was related to the purpose of humanity, he would never be afraid to start them.

“I am not afraid to visit any state in Nigeria, especially when the aim is to support the causes that contribute to national development, such as education, health, and poverty alleviation.”

Talking about the controversy produced by his visit to the city of Benin which caused a warning by the governor, Obi said:

“I went to Benin to invest in a better life for people. If they have a good doctor and nurse, life will be better for them. What I expect from the governor is to complete the efforts aimed at improving the community,” he added.
