The Nollywood actor, Adeniyi Johnson, called the Nigerian director, Bola Akande, following the sudden death of a rapid emergency actor, Ola Lawal, during a film production.
A report by Naija News reported that the cinema star, in a post via Instagram on Monday 9 June 2025, slammed akande on how he managed the tragic accident, which according to what was reported under his supervision.
Adeniyi Johnson said he did not consider Bola directly responsible for Ola’s death, but he needed to share his side of history and offer support for the family in mourning.
According to him, Ola’s father felt disrespectful from how the accident had been managed, adding that he and other cinema stars asked for justice for the deceased and an adequate burial.
The post recited: “Sad!! Sad !! @Bolaakande02 refused to make a comment or post on this accident. We are shocked and saddened by Ola’s death. Your silence is deafening.
“We are not blaming you for his death, but we invite you to recognize the situation, to share your part of the story and consider supporting the family. The father feels respectable, citing a lack of human feeling asking for the number of account of his brother shortly after the disappearance of Ola, as if he were for sale.
“Mr. @segunakeoowo_kso was the only caller, who shows empathy. We ask for justice for the dignity of Ola and an adequate burial. We will continue to push for responsibility.”
