Technical advisor Majin Mohammed has expressed confidence that the Niger Tornadoes can revive their struggling season as the team prepares for two crucial consecutive home matches against Kano Pillars and Rivers United.

The Minna-based team will host the two matches in urgent need of momentum as they look to end a worrying run of five matches without a win. The poor run has seen the team slide down the league table, increasing pressure on the coaching staff and players to deliver results.

Majin acknowledged the situation and admitted that the team must take collective responsibility to change the situation. “There are no more excuses. It’s time for everyone to roll up their sleeves and demonstrate their true loyalty to the team,” the coach said.

He also called on the more experienced players in the squad to step up during this difficult period. “The time has come for the most experienced players in the team to demonstrate their leadership. Every player must play for the championship and for the fans who have remained firmly behind the team,” he added.

Popularly known as “Aje Winger” during his playing days, Majin Mohammed noted that dips in form are common in football and even the strongest teams go through difficult periods. However, he stressed that the team’s response will define its professionalism and character.

“Every top team experiences periods like this, what matters is how we react and how we get out of it.
This is a wake-up call for everyone associated with the club – managers, coaches, players and fans – to rally around the team,” he said.

Despite the recent setbacks, which led to a three-match ultimatum for the coaching crew, of which one defeat was recorded in Jos against Plateau United, Coach Majin is still confident that the Niger Tornadoes will bounce back, starting with their match against Kano Pillars this weekend.
