Nwachukwu-Udaku, Nwoga, other Bag International Peace Awards in IMO

Rev. P. Dr. Ben Nwachukwu-Udaku and dr. Kachi Nwoga were among the important honored Nigerians with the international peace prizes in the inauguration ceremony of peace and the Ambassador Ambassador.

The event, organized by the Global Peace Building Network (GPBNET) in collaboration with the Charterd Institute of Educational Practationers, the United Kingdom (Ciepuk), was held in Owerri with the theme “Building peace bridges in a divided world: promote unity, dialogue and reconciliation”.

Traditional sovereigns, religious leaders, government officials, the interested parties of the community and international peace supporters participated in the ceremony, which presented cultural shows, speeches, messages of good will and the inauguration of GPBNET in the state of IMO.

National coordinator of GPBNET, Amb. Dr. Kelechi Anael, in her speech, urged the Nigerians to embrace justice, tolerance and dialogue in promoting peace. He said peace must be built on mutual respect and harmony, not only on the absence of war.

Other recipients of the prize included Amb. Comr. Ifeanyi Nwaguma, president of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (Nuj), Council of State of the Eme; Comr. Amb. Ezenwa Adiukwu, vice -president, Nuj South East; Apostle Uche Ogbujah and his wife, Pastore Nkechi Ogbujah; and comr. Kennedy ONWUNALI, among others.

Closing of the event, Amb. Dr. Regina thanked the participants and underlined the need to build peace from houses and communities before it could spread to the nation. He prayed for lasting peace in the state of imo and in Nigeria.
