NWFL Matchday 13: Hannah Ibrahim and Okocha among the best

Matchday 13 of the Nigerian Women’s Football League (NWFL) brought high drama, late winners and emphatic victories across the country.

Hannah Ibrahim (Remo Stars Ladies)

She made the list after a dominant performance in her team’s 5-1 thrashing of Osun Babes. Ibrahim opened the scoring early and returned shortly after to reinforce Remo Stars’ control of the game.

Uduakobong Monday Peter (Ahudiyannem Queens)

Glory Edet (Bayelsa Queens) was declared the winner in a tense contest against Pacesetter Queens. His free kick in the 80th minute was decisive, showing his winning mentality in the final minutes of a very close match. Edet’s late heroics secured the three points and reinforced Bayelsa Queens’ growing momentum.

Mirian Okocha (Ángeles Ibom)

He set the tone early in the South-South derby against the Rivers Angels, scoring just seven minutes into the game.

His goal proved to be the decisive one in a tight 1-0 victory, demonstrating discipline and composure in a high-intensity encounter.

Wonderful Ebube (Queens of the Confluence)

They rounded out the nominees after scoring in a 2-1 win over Delta Queens. Ebube played a key role in maintaining the offensive pressure, converting crucial opportunities and helping his team to three important points in a competitive match.

These nominees stood out not only for their goals, but also for their game-defining contributions and their consistent impact when it mattered most.
