Naija Ratetels ensured the final place in the Super Sei of the Nigeria Women Football League (NWFL) after a tie without goals against the unbeaten Bayelsa Queens at the Bwari City stadium, Abuja in the final appointment of group B of the regular season.
This result raised celebrations between the team based in Abuja while they secured their place in the NWFL playoffs for the second time since they moved to the Top Flight League.
Speaking after the draw, the coach of Naija Rates, Samson Keshi, was very evaluated his women after sharing points with the unbeaten Bayelsa Queens to qualify for the Super Six as it claims that the goal is to reach the final of the playoffs.

“Give my praise to my girls because Bayelsa Queens is a very good part. I played them almost 2-3 times and I know they are one of the best teams in the country. And for my girls, go out today with a point that exceeds any other team to qualify them for the six six from my area. So I thank my girls and I prefer them their practices.

“And I know that the Super Six will be a different baseball game. I promise to reach the Super Six final,” he said.
In addition, his opposite number, the coach White Ogbonda who said that the home team was not a loser in a tie, was proud of his team for squeezing an important point from home to finish the unbeaten season.
“People who do not know Naija Rates think that Najia Rates is just a team that you can come to beat. But when you play them, you know they have a team. So for us to come to Abuja here today in their homeland and get a point, I would say that we have done well. My girls have done well, which means they are ready for super six.
“When this regular season started, first of all we came across five unbeaten games. Then, when we managed to get those five unbeaten games, we gave us another target. So our goal that now goes to the Super Six is to make sure we are first unbeaten,” he said.
Meanwhile, the president of Naija Ratetels, Allison James Jegede, who was full of joy and appreciation for the technical crew and players said that all eyes are winning the super Six since the goal is to reach the Wafu championship.
“I thank my technical crew for having done an extra mile to do what they have to do technically to bring out these girls where we are today. I am very, excited. I am very happy. I also thank the players because of their zeal and determination.
“Now let’s go back to the drawing table to go and put our cards on the table. In reality we want to go to Wafu and Intercontinental. We will not go there to play,” he said.
Despite a 2-1 victory fought for the FC Robo Queens against Delta Queens in their final meeting of Group B, it was not enough for the team based in Lagos to jump Naija Rates.
The point protected from the installments against Bayelsa Queens was all that was necessary in the final ranking, keeping the robo queens in fourth position at bay.
While the regular season has ended, all eyes are now in the surrender of the Super six showdowns in Ikenne, in the state of Ogun, while the first three contenders of the two NWFL groups will clash for the final prize.
Rivers Angels, Remo Stars Ladies, Edo Queens, Bayelsa Queens, Naija Rates and Nasarawa Amazons have made their way and now will compete fiercely to claim the coveted title of the NWFL 2024/25 champions.
