The Premier League of the Nigeria Women Football League (NWFL) has entered its mid -season break, with the second stanza of the 2024/2025 season that will resume on Wednesday, March 19, 2025.
The NWFL Premier League embarked on a break after entrepreneurs of the first game of day 7 on February 26, 2025, with a maximum record of 27 goals scored, including three hat-tricks in several centers.
Speaking in the mid -season transfer window, NWFL’s director of Operations, Modupe Shabi, emphasized its importance for clubs that seek to strengthen their squads.
βThis transfer window allows clubs to strengthen their teams and address key areas before the second stanza begins. We hope that clubs will carry out strategic movements that improve competition in the league, βhe said.

Remo stars Ladies leading Group A with 19 points, closely followed by the headlines of Edo Queens with 17 points, while Abia Angels and Nasarawa Amazons are also in dispute.
The Angels Rivers lead Group B linked to Bayels Queens in 17 points, with Delta Queens, Naija Ratels and FC robbery queens behind.
The transfer window is open until March 11, 2025, giving time to the clubs to finish their signings as the rest of the middle of the season officially ends on March 18, with the second stanza starting the next day.
At the end of the season, the best teams will be classified for the NWFL Premership Super 6 championship, where they will fight for the league title.
