The game of Day 9, played at the Legacy Pitch, scored his second consecutive victory after after defeating Ekiti United the previous week.

Talking to Sports247 after the game in Lagos, the chief coach of the Amazonas de Nasarawa, Christopher Danjuma, attributed the improved teams of the team to a change in mentality and focus.

“We sit as a team and ask ourselves: why are we where we are and how can we improve?” Danjuma explained.

“In the first round, our visitor performances were below expectations. We granted too many goals, so we had to reassess our strategy. Now, instead of hurrying to win, we focus on staying compact, absorbing pressure and minimizing errors.”

“This new mentality is key to ensure that we survive and reach the Super 6,” he told Sports247.

Danjuma is still focused on ensuring an end in the top three in the group, which would guarantee the Amazon a place in the Super 6 that ends the season, a competition that will determine the league champion.

When addressing the notion that they are a weaker opponent in Dannaz Ladies, he emphasized respect for each team of the League.

“We don’t call any cheap Premier League ‘team. Each game is unpredictable, it may not be your day, but it could be yours.

With this new resilience, Nasarawa’s Amazons are proven to be serious contestants in the race to finish among the 3 best in their group, which will guarantee a place in Super 6 and the opportunity to win the NWFL Premier League title.
