Former President Olusegun Obasanjo said that the deceased president Muhammadu Buhari was a patriot who made his best to give the country the necessary progress and development.
Obasanjo, in a declaration through his special assistant in the media, Kehinde Akinyemi, Sunday in Abokuta, said that the news of the death of his former colleague, Boari, was welcomed with a heavy heart.
Obasanjo said: “It is with the heavy heart that I received the news of the disappearance of a colleague, a companion, a nice patriot and a soldier, General Muhammadu Buhari,
“He played his role as a soldier, as an administrator and statesman between numerous obligations he has performed,
“At a time like this, we need the totality of the experience and what I can call the stall of all those who have had the opportunity to manage the affairs of this country to get out of the situation in which we find ourselves.
“Buhari will miss a lot and can rest in perfect peace,” said Obasanjo.
