Two Nigerian stars took the center of the stage in the Super League of Turkish women (WSL) on Sunday, since Glory Ogbonna and Taiwo Lawal found the network for their respective sides in Besiktas’s 2-1 victory over Unye Kadin.
The game saw Kome Fadimatou open the score for Besiktas in the 11th minute before Lawal equaled Unye Kadin in the 31st minute, registering his fourth league goal of the season.
However, just when it seemed that the game would end at a dead point, Ogbonna gave a last winner in the 90th minute, ensuring the three points for Besiktas in third place.
The goal scored his first season for the Istanbul -based club.
Classification of the league and upcoming accessories
With this victory, Besiktas feels third in the league table with 40 points of 18 games and will face Trabzonspor on March 9, 2025.

Meanwhile, Unye Kadin remains 11th place with 14 points and will seek to recover when they receive Fatih Vatan Spor on the same date.
