Oil marketers suspend strikes on the implementation of e-call up

Oil marketers under the auspices of the Nigerian Independent Oil Marketers Association (IPMαν) have suspended their one day attack.

Marketers started strike on Monday at the implementation of e-Call up for the Lekki-Epe corridor.

In a statement issued on Tuesday by Hon. James was tubbed Tor, Ipman’s National Secretary for Zonal Chairperson, all depot units of the Association of Nigeria Street Transportation (Narto), Nigeria Union of Petroleum and Natural Gas Workers (Nupeng) and Tanker Tanker Tanker (PTD), attacking drivers.

Ipman noted that the Lagos state government had agreed to involve the National Executive Committee (NEC) of the Nigerian Independent Oil Marketer Association (IPMAN) and the Association of the Nigerian Road Transportation Owner (Narto) for the friendly settlement of the proposed N12,500.00 levies.

“The sequel to the top you are directed to suspend the strike action and continue the normal work to provide time for friendly resolution.

“We appreciate your cooperation and urge all Ipman members to remain united and vigilant because we continue to involve the government of the state of the state in pursuing fair and profitable results,” the statement said.
