Nigerian investigation reporter, David Hundeyin, once again, attacked former presidential candidates for the African Action Congress (AAC) in the 2023 general election and #revolutionnow organizer, Omoyle Sowore, described it as a paid activist who pretended to be a mass advocate while acting as a front for foreign agents.
In a post he shared at X (previously Twitter) on Thursday night, Hundeyin compared Sowore with a Kenya activist, Boniface Mwangi, who he also described as a paid activist who was also sponsored by several agencies that funded Sowore, by saying they both carried out the same activism style aimed at giving birth to their legets.
He also accused the two of them to prevent activism and true revolution with drowsiness as native activists but were more widely used by US agencies to stop those who had real interest in advocating for masses.
“In Kenya and Nigeria, you still do not realize that this type of celebrity activist who receives funds and generous support from the US government through many of the NGOs, the best like this person -pretending to do valuable work while truly taking free trips. And that is the best case scenario, because their actual work is more,” the real journal.
“Boniface Mwangi and Yele Sowore literally are the same person. The only difference is that one of them has Kenya accents and the other has a Nigerian accent.
“They even share the same American funds (Ford Foundation), and they both have made some Hollywood efforts to run for public offices they know they have no chance to win. One of them even made films from him.
“Most importantly, they both exist to play an important role for external interests that maintain Chokeholding on their two countries – their task is to place their faces and their narratives in front of every resistance or revolutionary movement that brew organically, so that they can control them in the name of their funding interests and wrongly direct them to harmless places where no one escapes.
“Sowore tried to do this with #endsars and successfully did it with #endbadGokernance, and Boniface did the exact same thing as #Rideffinancebill2024 and #Rutomustgo.
“Organized civil society in Africa is part of the imperial colonial infrastructure. You will think with all the noise made about USAID, a larger point will be made now.
“These people don’t help you or help you, as if they find the concept of resistance and revolution, or that will not happen without them.
“They are gates who actively prevent the real revolution from occurring. That is what they receive hundreds of thousands of dollars from intelligence/NGO mud funds for each year.
“People who you think are” heroes “are actually some of your biggest OPPs and I don’t know how you are not aware of this. I don’t understand how you can’t see it.”
On Monday, Hundeyin also slammed Sowore which he said was a front agent and disguised for the agency whose main task was to confuse African countries through a trick.
He specifically mentioned that several agencies suspected of sponsoring the Sowore platform to include the Ford Foundation, Macarthur Foundation and Omidyar Network, all of which are US agencies, added that the President of the Tinubu soccer also worked for the same agency.
